Illinois Governor JB Pritzker mocked Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem ahead of Halloween. He claimed that she must love the holiday “because she always dresses in law enforcement costumes.” His comments came after Noem rejected his request to pause the Department of Homeland Security’s Operation Midway Blitz over Halloween weekend.

Kristi Noem announced that through ICE’s 287(g) program, more than 223 undocumented immigrants have been arrested on Indiana highways.

During a press conference about a Midwestern immigration enforcement operation, Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem said federal agents have not detained U.S. citizens.

Noem's visit comes three weeks after the DOJ sued Minnesota and the Twin Cities, alleging interference with federal immigration enforcement.

The news conference will “discuss recent results of Operation Midway Blitz,” the mass deportation mission that also includes Lake County.
