Rain didn’t stop thousands of protesters from coming out in New York’s midtown Manhattan. Demonstrators held American flags and signs that said “No Kings” and “I Prefer My Ice Crushed.” Police said they closed about a mile of Fifth Avenue to traffic for the protest.

The demonstrations follow more than a week of large-scale protests in Los Angeles against Mr. Trump’s immigration crackdown and his decision to deploy the military there. Protesters gathered in Liberty Plaza outside of the Georgia State Capitol in Downtown Atlanta.

This comes after large protests erupted in Los Angeles and other major cities against the Trump administration’s immigration policies.
