The Russian president and Saudi crown prince held a phone call focusing on the Ukraine conflict, U.S.-Russia relations, and global oil markets.

The prince wants Saudi Arabia to be a middleman in peace talks. Ukraine’s leader said they’d discussed “steps and conditions needed to end the war.”

According to the official Saudi Press Agency, bin Salman and Rubio held their meeting in the Al-Salam Palace in Jeddah.
