I’ve already published my full Season 2 (spoiler-free) review. Now, we can dive into each individual episode as they stream every Friday. There’s so much to unpack in each one, I really can’t wait! Let’s start with a brief recap of where we left off back at the end of Season 1.

While the first season of Severance saw the first two episodes released at once, season 2 has moved straight to a weekly release from the offset. Episode 1 was released on Friday 17th January, meaning episode 2 will arrive on Apple TV+ on Friday 24th January.

Fortunately, “Severance” returns to Apple TV+ on Friday, and its makers seem to have used every second of the absence productively. The season takes new turns while remaining the most ambitious, batty and all-out pleasurable show on TV, an M.C. Escher maze whose plot convolutions never get in the way of its voice, heart and sense of humor.

Adam Scott heads up the cast of ‘Severance’ season 2 as Mark Scout, the Lumon employee who has the severance procedure following the loss of his wife. He’s seen here at the premiere of “Hot Tub Time Machine 2” on February 18, 2015 in Westwood, California. He previously starred in ‘Krampus,’ ‘The Overnight,’ and ‘Parks & Recreation,’ among others.

Theodore Shapiro is the composer for Severance season 2. He also worked on season 1 of the show and won an Emmy for Outstanding Music Composition for a Series/Dramatic Score in 2022. Alongside Severance season 2 using existing songs to create the atmosphere in its episodes, the series has a distinctive score.
