U.S. Secretary of Education Linda McMahon stopped in East Tennessee Wednesday as part of her “returning education to the states” tour. This marked the third stop on her route to visit 50 states as she works to fulfill President Donald Trump’s commitment to return education to the states.

McMahon said the point of this tour is to actually put herself out of a job and make sure the states can handle the responsibility themselves.
