The Chicago White Sox officially promoted pitcher Grant Taylor to the majors on Tuesday ahead of the series opener against the Houston Astros.

Jon Greenberg of The Athletic said on "The Takeaway with Alex" podcast that Ishbia moving the team to another city "wouldn't make a lot of sense."

The White Sox called up the No. 6-ranked prospect in their organization, continuing their trend of calling up talented young prospects.

Its Tuesday, June 10 and the White Sox (22-44) are in Houston to begin a three-game series against the Astros (36-29). Shane Smith is slated to take the mound for Chicago against Lance McCullers for Houston.

Chicago selected Taylor’s contract from Double-A Birmingham and designated right-hander Bryse Wilson for assignment. The 23-year-old Taylor has not pitched above Double-A but has been dominant for Birmingham this season, allowing three earned runs in 26 2/3 innings for a 1.01 ERA.
