Japanese star Roki Sasaki signed with the Los Angeles Dodgers, he announced on Instagram. The 23-year-old right-hander with a sizzling fastball and deadly splitter joins Samurai Japan teammates Shohei Ohtani and Yoshinobu Yamamoto with the World Series champion Dodgers.

The crown jewel of the offseason will wear Dodger Blue to begin his big league career. Japanese phenom Roki Sasaki has agreed to sign with the Dodgers, he announced in a post on Instagram on Friday afternoon.

After much speculation, the hard-throwing Japanese pitcher posts his decision on Instagram, choosing to play with countrymen Shohei Ohtani and Yoshinobu Yamamoto in Los Angeles.

The addition of Sasaki only increases the urgency for the Dodgers to do better in preventing pitching injuries.
