MIAMI - A South Florida substitute teacher is facing serious charges after being accused of making inappropriate sexual comments and advances toward female students, both in person and via social media.

Saturday and Sunday will see much warmer temperatures with a southern breeze and more sunshine. An area of rain showers will push north through the area early Saturday before rain chances drop by the afternoon. Highs will push above 80 degrees on both days with a good deal of sunshine.

In South Florida, graduation rates for the two largest school districts increased. Miami-Dade County public schools reached their highest graduation rate this year, at 91.8 percent for the 2023-2024 school year, almost 2 percent higher than the state average.
