Rain showers will begin this afternoon but quickly change to snow showers, with total accumulations between 2 and 5 inches expected across Northeast Ohio on Wednesday afternoon going into Thursday.
At 3:31 p.m. EST on Wednesday, the National Weather Service released a winter weather advisory in effect until 10 p.m. EST for St. Clair, Livingston, Oakland, Macomb, Washtenaw, Wayne, Lenawee and Monroe counties.
Winter takes hold of the region tomorrow, and we have heavy lake effect snow in the forecast for parts of Northwest Indiana.
The next round of winter weather is on the way for the U.S., impacting at least 25 states and potentially causing snow showers as far south as North Carolina and Tennessee.
