Legendary Sunil Gavaskar feels India have missed an opportunity by allowing Australia's lower order to add valuable runs, making it difficult for the visitors to win the Boxing Day Test in Melbourne.

India have their backs against the wall in the ongoing India vs Australia Boxing Day Test at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG). What made matters worse was India’s poor start to Day 3 of the IND vs AUS Test as the Rohit Sharma-led side lost both Rishabh Pant and Ravindra Jadeja in the opening session.

Former India legend Sunil Gavaskar has come down hard on young Rishabh Pant , criticising him over his shot selection during the Boxing Day Test. Gavaskar, who was on-air when Pant played the shot, could not believe what had happened.
