A contingent of Congressional members arrived in El Salvador Monday to advocate for the release of Kilmar Abrego Garcia, who was mistakenly deported to El Salvador and incarcerated.

The Trump administration told a federal judge that a Maryland man wrongly deported to his native El Salvador was moved more than a week ago out of the controversial CECOT mega prison where he’d been held with other accused gang members.

Four House Democrats are visiting El Salvador in a bid to support Kilmar Abrego Garcia, a man whom the Trump administration deported to a notorious Salvadoran prison.
