Of course, Epic Games is much more pleased with the outcome. In the wake of Wednesday's order, CEO Tim Sweeney announced that it now plans to bring Fortnite back to iOS in the U.S. next week.

On top of that, Epic is also announcing that support for webshops — stores that offer microtransactions on in-game items — hosted on the Epic Games Store are coming to its platforms.

It can also be costly. Take Epic Games, for example, whose fight against Apple cost the company more than $1 billion. But according to its CEO, Tim Sweeney, it was all worth it.
