French authorities have arrested two suspects in the $102 million Louvre Museum crown jewel heist, but the stolen royal artifacts remain missing.

Prosecutor Laure Beccuau, whose office is leading the investigation, said about 100 investigators are now involved in the police hunt for the suspects and gems after Sunday’s theft from the world’s most-visited museum.

The French police have arrested five more people in connection with the spectacular jewel theft at the Louvre, including one who is believed to have been among the thieves at the scene, the prosecutor overseeing the investigation said on Thursday.
