Founded in California in 1967, Trader Joe’s now has 581 stores across 42 states and the District of Columbia, and fans can't wait for even more shops to pop up. Trader Joe's in South Burlington is closed after a car crashed into the grocery store on Dorset Street on Tuesday. The collision broke multiple windows at the store and the car's bumper needed to be removed from its wall. Customers were inside at the time of the crash. The cause of the crash is unclear. The store will remain closed for the day.

Trader Joe’s has announced the opening of another store in Greater Boston. The store will be located at 1165 Needham St. in Newton, just three miles from the West Newton Trader Joe’s location. “We’ve consulted our maps and compass and have found a terrific location for a store in Newton, MA,” Trader Joe’s said in the store opening announcement .
