A Powerball ticket sold in Washington won $50,000, but just missed the $329 million jackpot, lottery officials say. The ticket matched four of five winning numbers and the Powerball in the drawing Saturday, Jan. 18, Washington’s Lottery said. A Powerball ticket sold in Oregon hit the $329 million jackpot.

More than 730,000 other Powerball tickets sold in the United States also won prizes ranging from $4 to $100,000, the lottery said. The Powerball jackpot had not been hit since Dec. 7, when a New York player won the $256 million grand prize, lottery officials said.
