On Thursday at 16.56pm, our all weather lifeboat was tasked to a de-masted 32 foot sailing yatch. RNLB Chris & Jo West launched to locate and assist the vessel. The lifeboat located the vessel approximately 3.5 miles South East of Clacton Pier. The solo sailor was in good spirits but unable to make way due to his mast and sail dragging in the sea. Our lifeboat put 2 crew onboard the casualty vessel to assist with de rigging the mast & sail. Once this was done the lifeboat escorted the vessel bac
