New year, new egg! 🥚🍳🐣 Starting the year right with some fresh egg yolk medium to mix up the next batch of paints for my Capricorn piece. Paint is essentially just pigment and a binder medium. For oil paint the binder is linseed oil, watercolor is gum arabic and for egg tempera - you guessed it - it’s egg yolk. The key is only getting the liquid yolk, none of the white or the “yolk sack”, so you take the yolk and carefully roll it on a paper towel to remove as much of the egg white as possibl
