Hovis’ iconic 1973 ‘Boy on the Bike’ advert is to make a comeback to television screens across the UK, having been digitally remastered by Ridley Scott Associates and the British Film Institute (BFI) National Archive.

You may know it from the classic Hovis advert or simply as part of the second movement in Dvořák’s New World symphony. Either way, this nostalgic cor anglais solo has a place in everyone’s hearts. Performed superbly here by Principal Cor Anglais Drake Gritton, Section Leader Clarinet Miquel Ramos Salvador, and the full Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, you can hear it live in our Season Opening Concert later this month.
