Here’s another way I tie up my tomatoes—by burying a strong string (I’m using builder’s brick line string) under the plant and tying it gently to a bamboo frame. The bamboo sticks I use are sturdy and have always held up all my tomatoes. As for the tomatoes, the string won’t stop them from thickening —as long as you don’t tie it too tight.
