I’ve never found Optical HRMs on the wrist to be accurate at all. My first was a Garmin, found it to be completely inconsistent and unreliable during my runs, then I moved to using Coros watches, no difference. The technology is essentially the same across all brands. During this very easy indoor treadmill run, my HR according to my watch went from 130, to 175, to 180, to 144, then back up to 163.
