The St. Polycarp Parish Church in Cabuyao, Laguna has a history dating back to its first construction by the Augustinians in 1637, which was later destroyed by a flood in 1763. The church was rebuilt on higher ground and completed in 1771. During the Japanese occupation, it was used as a hospice for wounded soldiers.
