This 50.7 km long Haridwar spur is a key extension of the Delhi–Saharanpur–Dehradun Economic Corridor, designed to provide Haridwar with faster, safer, and fully access-controlled connectivity. Built to ease congestion arising from growing pilgrimage traffic, logistics movement, and local travel demand, the project will ensure smooth and well-managed entry into Haridwar. The corridor also addresses complex challenges of the Ganga basin, such as heavy rainfall, flooding, soil erosion, and geotech
