It's the only day a year when people can freely walk across the top of the New River Gorge Bridge. It's also the only day a year when base jumping and repelling are allowed off the bridge. 🍁 Fall Bucket List Idea! On October 18, 2025 you can experience Bridge Day, West Virginia’s biggest one-day festival. You get to walk under one of the tallest bridges in the world and watch people BASE jump from over 800 feet up. Last year I tried the Bridge Walk and it was such a fun way to see the fall colors at the New River Gorge Bridge. The bridge is 3,030 feet long and 876 feet high, and it’s the longest single-span bridge in the Western Hemisphere. Bridge Day is the only time of the year
